A creative New Yorker, Jenni liked to spend (some) of her teenage years on Lake George. Like most writers, she loved stories and would often show and tell them through the organisation of neighbourhood shows.
But where did her fascination with the darker side of human nature come from? Well, growing up in Rochester may have something to do with it. A city with one of the highest murder rates in the entire state, and home to the likes of The Alphabet Murders, The Genesee River Killer, The Murder of Kali Ann Poulton, and the bizzare case of a Funeral home that stole body parts from corpses awaiting cremation, it now seems obvious she would write for the thriller genre.
But writing was to take a back seat as the lure of Nazareth College and a Business Education degree beckoned. With a few years inside the world of Marketing, and teaching Business Applications at both High School Level and in Continuing Education under her belt, plus training product and sales employees for companies such as 3Comm, HP, and Mcafee, Jenni still felt restless and couldn’t shake her desire to write.
Then finally, while visiting Owasco Lake, Jenni began to write. And write she did; creating one page-turning romantic suspense novel after another; each one with a dark villain to wreck havoc on the hero and heroine.
With novels such as
Rekindled, Jane Doe’s Return, Dark Water, and
In Two Weeks, and the many writing conferences and workshops she attends across the country, you’d think there was little time for anything else. Think again. Jenni also co-created
Who Dares Wins Publishing with NY Times Best-Selling Author Bob Mayer, and
Write It Forward workshops.
Today, Jennifer lives in Western NY with her husband and her three children. When she’s not carting her kids from one hockey rink to the next, she can be found in her ‘cave’ crafting her next Romantic Suspense novel.

Hi Donna/Jenni.
“Good timing.” Brilliant, I got a good laugh out of that one.
I’m keeping fingers crossed for something like “Go back, have another go.”
Cheers!

Love this interview, just as I love seeing two of my favorite people in one place. I’m wondering if fudge-a-muffin is a hockey term? 🙂
