This 30 Second Interview sees a different kind of writer than what we’ve had so far.
No, by different I don’t mean he finger-paints his words on to chalk boards or chisels them into rock. I mean this is a writer of non-fiction.

One thing I totally love about this guy is, if you email him, he will not only autograph a book but will also write a personal message of your choice.
So for a guy that has it all together, what did he make of our ten questions?
1. What is your favorite word? Yes
What an interesting person Donna! Thanks so much for introducing Brendon Foley to us. Maybe it’s because I live in the U.S. or maybe it’s because I live in a cave, lol, that I have never had the pleasure of knowing about him. I like his teaching of optimism. “Happiness is the starting point.” Love that!
As always, a great 30 second interview! Who’s next? 🙂

Hi Donna –
You found a real winner in Brendan Foley! He seems like a truly interested person – interested in life, others, himself (this is not a bad thing at all). Watching the podcast of Brendan Foley stirred my imagination. I realized that as I write my blog posts, I don’t think I am connecting with my readers as I could be – as I would be if I was standing in front of them getting to know them. Empathy, which Brendan mentioned as something very important for happiness, is also especially important to the blogger. Actually, it is important to everyone! I try to be empathic as much as I can in life. Empathy is a value I take very seriously. Well, if I truly value empathy, it is important to translate this value into my posts. Empathy ought to be a part of my voice.
You are a perfect example of this – valuing your readers. You give us information that will help us be better writers. You introduce us to interesting people who can enhance our lives. You respond to our comments/questions. You help us with concerns we have – and much more! In other words, you are genuinely interested in us – the reader.
Thanks for the stimulating introduction to and the interview with Brendan Foley. He already has begin to impact my life!
Monique
