PARTNER FOR COMEDY SITCOM WANTED
Hi I’m making this post because I’m looking for a dedicated co-partner that will be willing to help me create an entire season of screenplays and shop around it for funding. The premise and the pilot is pretty much locked and completed. It’s also copyrighted and ready for funding! I’ve spoke to a few investors about the idea but I want to get a partner before I continue pitching this sitcom to anywhere else. I realized I can’t do this all on my own, literally impossible! So if you think you can do this hit me up in an email to quanmillion@hotmail.com and I’ll go over all the details as far as pay, agreement forms, the script, and the connections I have. Thank you. Quan.
ASSEMBLING TEAM FOR IFEATURES INITIATIVE
My current projects aren’t eligible so I’m looking for directors and especially writers to make an iFeatures team application. As I’m based in the regions, working with me would make you eligible to apply, no matter where you’re from in the UK. You also need a full team to be eligible, so lets hook up! iFeatures 2 are looking for projects in their early stages. 16 short listed teams will receive development money and support (min £1500 per script draft). Eventually 3 projects will be produced. Please read their guidelines carefully before sending me anything. http://www.ifeatures2.co.uk/guidelines1.html If you’ve already written a screenplay for your idea, this must be a very rough first draft only. Please don’t submit anything more developed than this, it will only lead to trouble for the whole team later on. For writers, the iFeatures application requires a logline up to 25 words, a synopsis up to 100 words, an outline up to 2,000 words (roughly 4 pages) and a bio up to 500 words. Please therefore send me something similar, however, I appreciate that it takes time to draft materials to these exact lengths – if you’ve already drafted docs for other schemes, you may send those instead. If I’m interested, we can work together on re-drafting for iFeatures specifications. If you are applying as a writer-director, please also include a showreel link. Or if you are applying as a director without a project, please just supply the bio and showreel. NOTES FOR DIRECTORS: This scheme favours teams where the writer and director are separate people. If you are truly a writer-director, and your work is equally strong in both areas, then no problem. However, my preference is to select the strongest ideas, before pairing them with directors. ALL DIRECTORS MUST HAVE MADE AT LEAST 2 SHORTS WHICH HAVE SCREENED AT FESTIVALS. ADDITIONALLY THEY MUST HAVE WON AT LEAST ONE AWARD, OR SCREENED AT ONE MAJOR FESTIVAL (E.G. Edinburgh, London, Cannes (not the short film corner), Berlin, Venice, Locarno, SXSW, Sundance, Tribeca, other Oscar qualifying festivals etc). Very competetive scheme – please don’t be offended if I can’t work with you on this occasion. And please be aware, I will read loglines and 100 word synopses first. If these haven’t grabbed me, I probably won’t have time to read your 4 page outline. iFeatures deadline is 8th of May. However, I NEED TO RECEIVE ALL EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST BY 5pm MONDAY 23rd OF APRIL. This will allow me time to read everything, pair projects with directors where necessary, and develop materials further before the iFeatures 2 deadline. Good luck, I will bounce back to confirm receipt of very application. Please just apply via my email – jack@shudderfilms.co.uk – no need to submit via the Talent Circle entry form. Thanks.
